Natural today, Sustainable for Tomorrow
Inheritance of passionate farming
To build a sustainable and prosperous farm-ecosystem: where natural inputs, respectful partnerships, community well-being, and healthy produce go hand in hand, for today, tomorrow and beyond.
At Dhara Natural Farm, we believe farming is more than just growing crops, it’s about nurturing the earth, honoring traditional wisdom, and producing food that truly nourishes. Our commitment to natural farming means we grow without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, working hand-in-hand with nature to create wholesome, vibrant produce.
Mother cow and calf
Our journey began with a simple, yet profound realization: modern farming methods were stripping the food of its vitality and the soil of its life. We chose to return to time-tested, Natural agricultural practices where the soil is not just a land, cow is not just a livestock animal, but the foundation of fertility and medicine. Our philosophy centers on creating a symbiotic relationship between the cow, the land, the crop, and our community in a sustainable way. it is a commitment to purity, planetary health, and nourishing you naturally for today and for sustainable tomorrow.
We are located at Dhrangadhra, Gujarat.
In Sanskrit, “Dhrang” means “stone”, The suffix “Dhara” means “earth/ land/ ground”, Putting them together, Dhrangadhra essentially means something like “stone land” or “place of stone-earth/rocky land”. We proudly derived our farm name from here.
Do you know? Interesting Fact: (Source: FAO- Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations): Soil essentially derives all mineral elements from sand, clay, stones or gravel which were once parts of larger rocks.
We don't "fertilize" the plants; we feed the soil's living ecosystem to creates nutrient-dense food with exceptional flavor.
Jeevamrutha: A potent natural inoculum made from cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, pulses, and soil. This mixture introduces billions of beneficial microbes, bacteria, and fungi back into the soil, acting as a powerful bio-fertilizer.
Ghana Jeevamrutha: The solid form of our manure-based compost, which dramatically improves soil structure, water retention, and long-term fertility.
Instead of killing pests, we repel them and boost the plant's natural immunity.
Neem-Based/Traditional Solutions: We use decoctions made from own grown neem leaves and specific plant extracts, known for their natural pest-repellent properties, enhance the vibrancy and resilience of our crops against disease. ensuring no toxic residue remains on your food.
Use of Solar Traps rather than chemical pesticides to control pests.
Guaranteed 100% free from synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and harsh chemicals. We protect your family's health and the biodiversity of our ecosystem.
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO document) describes a sustainable food system as “a food system that delivers food security and nutrition for all in such a way that the economic, social and environmental bases to generate food security and nutrition for future generations are not compromised. This means that:
It is profitable throughout (economic sustainability);
It has broad-based benefits for society (social sustainability); and
It has a positive or neutral impact on the natural environment (environmental sustainability).
We use the Bed and Furrow system for crop cultivation, which promotes strong root development and naturally enhances the nutritional quality of the produce.
We are transitioning toward a No- Till farming system that mimics natural processes. Currently, about 20% of our farmland operates under No-Till practices, with more areas being added steadily. This approach supports water conservation, encourages mindful water use, and helps reduce our environmental footprint.
Mulching: We cover the soil with crop residue to conserve moisture, enrich the organic matter, and suppress weeds naturally.
Multi cropping, Intercropping, Crop Rotation based on crop family types best suited naturally for rotations for Integrated management of soil health, fertility, pest control, weed control and resource optimization. To enrich biodiversity, we have more than 50 varieties of permanent trees and plants.
